Défini comme un Action-RPG par certains ou un looter-slasher par d’autres, Godfall est l’un des prochains titres édités par Gearbox Software (Brothers in Arms, Borderlands) et est développé par Counterplay Games. L’aventure pourra être jouée en mode solo ou bien en coopération jusqu’à 3 joueurs. 

Il s’agit du tout premier titre annoncé comme faisant partie du line-up de lancement de la PlayStation 5.
